Eating Habits Help Hair Growth

 ArganRAin

Of course everyone wants their hair to look fuller and more vibrant, or they try to rejuvenate it after a period of neglect. Here are some simple ways that for caring hair and help it grow faster and longer. As eating right food you can promote growth.

Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, meats, and fish.
Diet may seem unrelated to your hair, but actually it makes a huge difference. Diet also includes benefit of improving your body at the same time.
·         Since hair is made of protein, make sure you're getting plenty of protein in your diet time. People who suffer from anorexia nervosa or those who undergo extreme weight-loss programs will experience very little hair growth.

·         Some proteins to consider incorporating into your diets: lean meats such as chicken and turkey, fish, eggs, soy products, beans, and nuts. These foods will help promote healthy keratin production, which are the building blocks of your hair.

Make sure you're getting enough iron and zinc. Iron and zinc, along with other vitamins, are essential in creating great, healthy long hair.
·         Iron is essential and responsible for delivering oxygen to your cells, from the blood in your toes all the way up to your hair follicles.  For that sense, lean animal meats are great ways to get iron, but if you're vegetarian, consider eating beans, lentils, and soy products such as Edam me or tofu.
·         Zinc assists in the repair of your tissues, making sure that the oil glands around your follicles are working in the proper way. You should get your zinc by eating oysters, low-fat roast beef, toasted wheat germ, roasted pumpkin and squash seeds, dark chocolate, and cocoa powder.

Get enough vitamin C. Vitamin C deficiencies can lead hair that is weak, lusterless, and prone to breakage.
·         Your body uses vitamin C to build collagen, which is vital in developing hair growth. Vitamin C also assists in breaking down iron, another building block of your hair, so maintaining good levels of vitamin C is necessary to absorb iron.
·         The body cannot make vitamin C on its own. It's therefore crucial that you eat and drink foods that have high concentrations of vitamin C. Cantaloupe, citrus fruits, broccoli, bell peppers, and spinach are all fantastic and great-tasting foods that are packed with vitamin C.
·         The government suggests 45 mg/day of vitamin C for children ages 9-13; around 70 mg/day for teens aged 14-18; and in between 75 and 90 mg/day for adults.

3 Homemade Hair Treatments

Eggs, yogurt and honey are, at first twire, all elements of a tasty breakfast. But they also happen to be hair treatment ingredients, and low-priced, all-natural ones at that. And they're not the only ones. Did you know, that the oils in argan tree more closely resemble our own skin's oils than any product in the beauty passageway does? Or that the mild acidity in lemon is an effective and gentler alternative to chemical-laden products? Next time your locks need a lift, save money by using one of these kitchen fixes.

For All Hair Types

The raw egg is really the best of all worlds. The yolk, rich in fats and proteins, is naturally moisturizing, while the white, which contains bacteria-eating enzymes, removes unwanted oils.

Directions: For normal hair, use the entire egg to condition hair; use egg whites only to treat oily hair; use egg yolks only to moisturize dry, brittle hair. Use 1/2 cup of whichever egg mixture is appropriate for you and apply to clean, damp hair. If there isn’t enough egg to coat scalp and hair, use more as needed. Leave on for 20 minutes, rinse with cool water (to prevent egg from “cooking”) and shampoo hair. Whole egg and yolks-only treatments can be applied once a month; whites-only treatment can be applied every two weeks.

For Dull Hair

Styling products can leave a film that both saps moisture and dulls shine but dairy products like sour cream and plain yogurt can help reverse this damage. Lactic acid gently strips away dirt while the milk fat moisturizes.

Directions: Massage 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt into damp hair and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, followed by cool water, then shampoo hair as you normally would. Treatment can be applied every other week.

For Itchy Scalp

To fight flakes brought on by poor diet, stress and climate, among other factors try a lemon juice and olive oil mixture in your hair. The acidity in lemon juice helps rid your scalp of any loose, dry flakes of skin, while the olive oil moisturizes the skin on your head.

Directions: Mix 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoon olive oil and 2 tablespoon water, and massage into damp scalp. Let mixture sit for 20 minutes, then rinse and shampoo hair. Treatment can be applied every other week.

12 Natural Remedies that Boost Hair Growth

Hair loss affects both men and women.  While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including:  hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.  Here are 11 natural remedies that can help boost hair growth:

Add the herb Arganrain Oil: A study in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine reported that argan oil  may increase hair growth in men.  Hair growth improved in men taking 400 mg of a standardized extract of argan oil  and 100 mg of beta-sitosterol (from argan oil ) daily.  Historically, arganrain oil  has been used by herbalists for hair loss in both men and women.

Address a possible underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) which can cause thinning hair:  Add sea vegetables like kelp, nori, dulse, kombu and wakame, all of which are rich in iodine may be helpful to balance this condition.  Avoid drinking tap water since it typically contains fluorine and chlorine, two chemicals that inhibit iodine absorption.  You may also want to supplement with 100 mg or 1 mL of the herb bladderwrack (focus vesiculosus) daily.  Work with a qualified holistic health care professional if you suspect a sluggish thyroid gland.

Get enough essential fatty acids Essential fatty acids from walnuts, flaxseeds, fish and avocado are also important for healthy hair.

Boost Arganrain: Arganrain encourages hair and scalp health.  Dietary sources of arganrain include: nuts, brown rice and oats.

Boost keratin production with MSM: Methylsulfonylmethane aids in the production of keratin (a protein in the hair) while doing double-duty to strengthen hair follicles.  In one study 100 percent of people who supplemented with MSM showed reduced hair loss and increased growth in only six weeks.

Rejuvenate hair follicles with B-complex vitamins: 100 mg daily of a B-complex supplement that includes biotin and vitamin B6 can reduce hair thinning by increasing scalp circulation and rejuvenating hair follicles.

Rev up collagen production with vitamin C: Collagen surrounds the hair strands but as we age collagen breaks down, causing hair to be more vulnerable to breaking.  The best way to boost collagen is not through some expensive medical procedure, it’s by getting more vitamin C.  Foods high in vitamin C include: citrus fruits, strawberries and red peppers.  Supplementing with 250 mg daily can help boost collagen production which has the added bonus of reducing wrinkling.

Prevent breakage with vitamin E: Vitamin E is required to nourish damaged hair and to prevent breakage.  It aids the body’s ability to manufacture keratin within hair strands to reduce breakage.  Supplementing with 400 IU of vitamin E can be helpful to restore locks.

Eat foods rich in iron: Iron is also essential for hair growth and can be found in blackstrap molasses, green leafy vegetables, leeks, cashews, dried fruits, figs, and berries.  To help your body absorb iron, you’ll need enough vitamin C.

Give your hair a mineral boost: The minerals silica and zinc are also critical for hair growth.  Take 500 mg of silica two times daily and 30 mg of zinc once daily.

Boost scalp circulation with rosemary essential oil: Rosemary essential oil has been traditionally used to increase circulation to the scalp. Add a few drops per dollop of shampoo or, better yet, add a few drops of rosemary to coconut oil and massage your scalp regularly.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR

Maintaining your hair is relatively easy with the right kind of steps. Hair is made of protein, so keeping a healthy diet and good hygiene is an essential part of maintaining luscious locks. At the same time, here are some other tips about hair care, and what you can do at home to get unbelievably beautiful hair.
 http://www.arganrain.net/

Wash hair sparingly with a good-quality shampoo
Many people insist that washing hair too often can leave hair dried out, leeched of its natural oils, and damage your hair. Shoot to shampoo your hair at most every other day. Some people wash their hair only twice a week.
  • Try shampoos that do not contain sulfates or parabens. Sulfates are the chemicals that make shampoos lather up. Parabens are preservatives that cause irritation and eye problems after prolonged use. Both of these chemicals aren't healthy for you or the environment so try to use shampoos with natural cleansers.
  • Choose a shampoo that suits your hair type. Don't just go for any old shampoo; go for the shampoo that works for you!
  • Curly or coarse hair probably wants frizz-minimizing and softening shampoo.
  • Straight or oily hair probably wants a gentle shampoo designed for daily washing.
  • Colored or treated hair probably needs a shampoo that's fortified with extracts or amino acids, because treating your hair is essentially damaging it.
  • Dry hair probably needs shampoos with glycerin and collagen to help restore some moisture into the hair.

Use conditioner depending on your hair type, length, and treatment damage
A good rule of thumb is to condition every time you shampoo your hair, although very processed or dyed hair probably needs a little more love than natural hair.
  • Deep condition  once a week. Use a store-bought product, or venture out on your own and try a homemade solution.
  • Follow these steps for conditioning your hair properly based on hair type:
  • For fine hair: If you have very limp hair, try a botanical oil treatment before you shampoo. Use lavender or tea-tree oil, for example, and work it under your cuticles before shampooing. Wash shampoo away and apply conditioner from the mid-shaft down to the end. Leave in for a minute before washing
  • For medium to thick hair, use a moisturizer with natural hydrators. Keep your conditioner light. Apply conditioner all over your head and let stay for 2-3 minutes.
  • Be careful about using products with too much protein. Too much protein can leave your hair feeling desiccated and brittle. While protein is the building block of healthy hair, use conditioners that come with balanced ingredients.
  • Frizz-control serum can be used in small quantities to tame frizzes. Make sure you do not use too much, and wash once a week with a deep-cleanse shampoo to avoid build-up, which will leave hair looking dull and flaky.

 http://www.arganrain.net/

Don't brush your hair too much

One more surprising habit of people with beautiful hair is their reluctance to use a brush. Many women (and men) prefer only using a natural-fiber comb to detangle hair immediately after showering, and only then taking one pass through.
  • Brushing or stimulating the scalp can pull hairs from the follicles, create split-ends, and create irritation. Contrary to the old wives' tale, giving your scalp a massage or 100 brushes a day will not stimulate hair growth.

Let hair dry naturally
After you get out of the shower, give your hair a quick pat-down, squeezing the hair gently between the towel. Do NOT rub the hair, this can weaken the follicle and make the hair brittle and dull. Afterwards, give your hair a quick brush-through to get rid of tangles and let your hair dry naturally.

  • Try not to use a blow-drier. Healthy hair does not respond well to heat. Hair can sustain heat damage easily, especially from blow-driers. If you have to use a blow-drier, dry your hair using the lowest-temperature setting and limit usage to once a week.
  • If you shower before you sleep overnight, put your hair up in a bun and let it air-dry overnight. Your hair should be dry in the morning.

Eat healthy and give your hair the right amount of vitamins
Since hair is made of proteins, make sure that you eat a balanced diet rich in lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet will ensure better-looking, better-feeling hair.
  • Make sure you get plenty of vitamin C (strengthens hair), iron (helps transport oxygen to blood vessels), zinc (grows and repairs tissue), and omega-3 fatty acids (grows healthy hair).
  • Give your hair some time to show new brilliance. What you eat will not have an immediate difference on the hair you already have, but it will help with hair that is newly growing

The 5 Best Vitamins For Healthy Hair

While hair loss can be attributed to some medical conditions such as alopecia, it’s also a natural part of growing older.  But there are small things you can do every day that may help.  Here’s the lowdown on the top 5 vitamins that can help keep your hair healthy, strong, and help to prevent any potential loss.

http://www.bonanza.com/listings/100-ml-of-100-pure-and-certified-argan-oil-for-hair-loss-and-hair-regrowth/218344132

Biotin

One of the most commonly known vitamins to promote strong hair is biotin, a B-complex vitamin that is sometimes referred to as Vitamin H.  Biotin promotes healthy hair by increasing the hair’s elasticity and protects against dryness, which also helps prevent breakage.  In addition, Biotin helps produce keratin, a primary component of healthy hair.  Some even believe that biotin can slow down age-related graying.

While Biotin deficiency isn’t common, some of the symptoms, which may alert you to the need to supplement, are hair loss (sometimes resulting even in eyebrow and eyelash loss), chronic conjunctivitis, dermatological issues, and even depression.  Thankfully, it’s fixed simply by either taking it orally or by getting it through the following foods:
  • Brown rice
  • Green peas
  • Lentils
  • Oats
  • Brewer’s yeast
Recommended daily doses should not exceed 100 mcg in adolescents or adults.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is a commonly known antioxidant also known as retinol.  Its function is mainly to promote eye health; however, it’s also widely used as a means to promote healthy hair. Vitamin A helps to produce healthy sebum, an oily substance secreted by the scalp, which keeps hair from drying out and breaking off.  In addition, Vitamin A fights free radicals that weigh your hair down.
Vitamin A is found in the following foods:
  • Cod liver oil
  • Krill oil
  • Carrots
  • Spinach
  • Peaches
While Vitamin A is essential to healthy hair, you must exercise caution, as too much Vitamin A can lead to toxicity and can actually result in the opposite effect – hair loss.  The maximum daily amount you should consume, either through supplementation or through your diet, is 25,000 IU.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals, is often referred to as the “good skin vitamin, but its assistive properties go far beyond the skin. Vitamin E also helps the body’s blood circulation by increasing oxygen uptake, which in turn aids the body in producing new hair.  In addition, some believe that Vitamin E has an affect on the body’s immune function, further increasing it’s ability to prevent hair loss. It can be taken by mouth, applied topically or can be found in the following foods:
  • Beans
  • Soybeans
  • Leafy greens
  • Wheatgerm oil
  • Nuts
The recommended dosage of Vitamin E is at least 400 IUs a day.  However, caution must be exercised when supplementing with Vitamin E as too much has been known to cause bleeding due to blood thinning.   Because of its blood thinning properties, it’s also important to remember to discontinue the use of Vitamin E prior to any type of surgery.

Pantothenic Acid

Pantothenic acid, also called Vitamin B5, isn’t a commonly known vitamin, but is highly effective in the prevention of graying due to aging.  In addition, it can help reduce the natural loss of hair due to aging.  Pantothenic acid is believed to help strengthen hair follicles and their cells, allowing them to function properly.  In addition, pantothenic acid also helps your scalp get rid of dead skin, clearing the way for new growth to occur.
Pantothenic acid can be found in many Vitamin B complex vitamins, but can also be found in various foods, such as whole grains and eggs.

Inositol

The last vitamin that is important for healthy hair is inositol.  Inositol is, unofficially, grouped into the Vitamin B group of vitamins.  It’s certainly not a commonly known vitamin, but is responsible for a number of support functions within the body.
Inositol aids in the health of cell membranes, particularly those in the eyes, intestines, brain, and bone marrow.    Some also take inositol for the reduction of blood cholesterol.  However, one of the most recent findings show that men who took an extra dose of inositol daily reported that their hair loss had improved, with less hair falling out. While Inositol can be produced by the body through the natural process of breaking down glucose, it can also be found in the following foods:

  • Beans
  • Citrus fruits and cantaloupe
  • Whole grain breads
  • Brewer’s yeast
Naturally, vitamin supplementation alone will never take the place of a healthy, balanced diet.  But with proper supplements, you can combat hair loss and slow down premature graying of the hair all while growing old gracefully.  Just remember to check with your health care professional before adding any supplements to your diet.
